According to the new Creative Writing MFA Rankings, every single program I am applying to is in the top 20 and half of them are in the top 10.

Is nervous.

    Dude, you realize that my BACKUP SCHOOL is 21, right? In other words, I got into the one place that was, in fact, the hardest place for me to have gotten into.

    In other other words: It ain’t never gonna make no sense. You go with the fortune-telly feelings. And with liking what you see/read/hear about the city and the people.

    One more thing: it’s not insane to want to stay home four days a week or even seven, you know why? Because OH MY GOD YOU ARE A POET so please, as the Zen ordination service says, “please concentrate intensely and wholeheartedly reflect” and try to remember this no matter how many Brainless McJobs are unavoidably thrust at you in your near future. Because the world will inform you of its opinion (waster, burner, loser) cheerfully and loudly and incessantly for the rest of your life. Don’t you go adding your voice to that monotonous chorus.
